Following the success of the Summer Exotic Animal Sculpture Workshop in May 2009, YAF is thrilled to partner with Lane Crawford again for another exciting project: the "Poptastic" Robot Project. As part of this project, YAF aims to create three giant robots that will be displayed in Lane Crawford stores to celebrate the merriment of the hoildays with the shoppers!
Project artist Gareth Dunster will lead 25 teenagers to rearrange and reassemble different found objects like TV's, old toys, flashing lights and Christmas decorations to create 3 unique 2.5 - 2.8m tall robot sculptures.
During the creation process, the participants learn the skills of structure making, sculpting, painting and light effects to produce fun, festive and vibrant robots which will be showcased in three Lane Crawford stores.
