Standard Chartered Bank has supported the Seeing is Believing Visual Arts & Fundraising Project for the past five years, this project has been well received by local schools and as such has turned into an annual art education event with a large number of schools consistently taking part in it. Over 85,000 local students have learned a variety of art skills whilst donating money to support the work of ORBIS. The funds raised are used specifically to support ORBIS services in mainland China.
This year, YAF will create another exhibition and would like to invite over 15,000 students to participate. Each participant will donate a minimum of HK$10, create their artwork for display and send their blessing to the visually impaired. Artworks will be exhibited in a shopping centre in June.
In February, Teacher workshops will be arranged for teachers from the participating schools to assist them in providing creative stimulus for their students. A teacher pack with art materials will be distributed at the workshop. We are currently openly recruiting all schools or groups. Each participating student will donate a minimum of HK$10 or above to ORBIS
